What is Breast Lift Aesthetics?
When is Surgery Performed?
Breast lift surgery is performed to lift sagging breasts that do not look aesthetically pleasing and bother the person. In this procedure, known as mastopexy in medicine, sagging skin around the breast is removed, and tissues are tightened. This way, breasts with the nipple pointing downwards are shaped upwards. Breast sagging, which occurs due to factors such as genetics, gravity, childbirth, breastfeeding, weight loss, and aging, makes a person's body look disproportionate. At the same time, as it restricts movement, removing excess sagging skin provides both visual satisfaction and health benefits.
How is Surgery Performed?
First and foremost, women who will undergo breast lift surgery must be physically healthy. Breast lift surgery is performed if they have maintained a stable weight for a long time, if the nipples and areolas are positioned low, if the breasts are flat and drooping, if there are issues of stretching and widening in the breasts, if the two breasts are not at the same level, and if you experience significant difficulties in your daily life. This procedure, which involves removing sagging skin and tightening tissues, can also be combined with breast augmentation or reduction at the same time. Small stitch marks may remain after the surgery. After 15 days, the stitches are removed, and the breasts take on the desired shape approximately 10 weeks later.
